Vakhtangov. Her work received wide acclaim and was exhibited in art galleries and museums both in Georgia and abroad. An accomplished artist, Tamara Dolidze continues to evolve and search her own artistic identity, combining traditional approach with modern style, and creating refreshingly original art.

Naturally, Tamara considers herself Georgian artist first and foremost. Her influences and love of color are rooted in Georgia's long history of tradition and folklore. Through her work, Tamara communicate Georgian's immense love of life, appreciation of their homeland, and romanticism for what the artist perceives and idealistic view of the world.

The first T. Dolidze exhibit embarked on a tour of the Soviet Union in 1986, with shows in Baku, Azerbaijan (1986), Odessa, Ukraine (1987), Yerevan, Armenia (1991). Since then her paintings have been shown to worldwide audiences in Turkey, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Sweden. Art critics praised Tamriko's work and her exceptional use of color, mastery and style. Later, six of the artist's paintings were brought by Georgia's "Mziuri" Cultural center to Denmark, Japan and the United States, where they were shown as part of international exhibit benefiting Georgia's children.

Tamara received numerous commendations and certificates of outstanding artistic achievement from the Georgian government. She continues to grow professionally, and as her popularity grows, so does her reputation as one of the most innovative and talented artists. Tamara tries new painting techniques, using wet canvass, wax and oil-based paints to create beautiful art. Her use of color - vibrant, bold, magnificently strong yet delicate tones - results in lively, compelling, visually and emotionally stimulating paintings. As one image is layered against another, one can distinguish gracious bodies of young women in a sensual dance - a moment frozen in time.

In 1994 Tamara moved to Los Angeles. As she comes into her own on personal level. Tamara continues to mature professionally and artistically as well. The size of canvasses becomes larger, compositions grow more complicated and diverse. The colors take on new intensity - greener, redder, bluer, darker.

Tamara Dolidze is among the new wave of immigrants to this country, making her own invaluable contribution to the melting pot of cultures, traditions, religions, languages, art, and history that makes America the most unique and productive place on earth. Her latest painting "Shining Georgia" received wide acclaim after it was shown during the recent festival of the Russian culture in Los Angeles.

"One can see Pirosmani's influences in Tamara Dolidze's work", write American art critics. Reviews praising Tamara's talents have appeared in Georgian and American press under the heading "Soul's Majestic Light". In 1997 Tamara was given the task of overseeing and designing the interior of the first authentic Georgian restaurant in Los Angeles, "Tbilisi" four of Tamriko's paintings currently hang in the restaurant, giving it an air of particular comfort, identity, and special warmth that is uniquely Georgian. Young women bearing grapes and ripe pomegranates, a man holding a horn full of vine, an accordion player, a fisherman on a wooden plank, famous Pirosmani's landscape, all of these symbolize Georgian traditional welcome. Tamara's impression ate mind and imaginative streak served as genesis for creation of colorful paintings celebrating the fun of Las Vegas with its casinos and circus performers - the acrobats, magicians, clowns, mimes.

Most of them are from "Old Tbilisi" collection: "The Rug Vendor", "Bazzar", "Avlabarsky Street", "Dudunisty","Pomegranates", "Young Woman with Flowers", "Circus", "Musician", "Horses".
